We provide support and guidance for parents who are navigating the complex process of securing special education services for their children. Our special education advocates (SEAs) work closely with parents, students, and school systems in the following ways:

  • Initiate process for obtaining Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Section 504 accommodations;

  • Attend IEP/504 planning meetings alongside parents;

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of IEPs;

  • Communicate regularly with administrators, teachers and specialists regarding student progress;

  • Review IEP/504 plans to ensure compliance with state and federal laws;

  • Identify opportunities for creative academic solutions;

  • Ongoing student observation; and more!
